Hoddevik Rug

The Hoddevik Rug is one of a kind from the Stad Rug collection. Each rug is one of a kind and inspired by one of the five bays of Stad. The unique weaving technique and combination of fabric makes this rug healthy for your feet to walk on.

Handwoven on a floor flatweave loom. The warp is a single ply wool yarn, as a weft I used locally sourced and manufactured wool rye yarn. To obtain a textured and tactile surface with therapeutic purpose, I added paper yarn.

Hoddevik

The legendary Hoddevik beach, a jewel well kept in the hearts of the ones that visited it. The colorfade use of colours, blue and wool offwhite, create the transition from ocean to beach, its shoreline. I used the dip dye technique to obtain different blue shades within the yarn, just like the ocean.
